Safety
Safety is a language consistently at the forefront of Fenog thinking. Safety hazards are commonplace in industry and procedures to protect the men and women working on Fenog's industrial sites of operation and in their offices are integral to Fenog work practices.
Strict safety polices have been established and are revised according to changing laws and the latest industry thinking on safety. Fenog projects cannot be started until safety issues have been defined, and appropriate planning of safe frameworks of operation completed. In the oil and gas sector, there are innumerable risks of, and from, fire, chemicals, heavy machinery and equipment, and Fenog works to minimise these risks by adopting procedures that help workers to manage their work conditions safely and effectively. These include:
- Hiring specialists on projects to map out safety plans prior to project start.
- Monitoring such safety plans and compliance throughout projects.
- Conducting safety awareness programmes for workers to understand safety issues and how to comply to safety procedures
- Updating and monitoring such safety procedures for their effectiveness
- Checking company machinery and equipment for safety purposes and ensuring certification is in place where required by law to do so.
- Safety specialist available on all sites to respond to emergencies.
